Sometimes I think that we make life too complicated. Take
Dr. Ed's comments on his new "stress" blog for the Mayo Clinic for example. He rarely takes more than 3 short paragraphs to make a very compelling point about how to take better care of ourselves. As a cancer specialist, Dr. Ed is posting on stress because....... ? Well it must be because stress can adversely impact our life and in fact lead to a shorter life. But instead of going on and on about stress, Dr. Ed simply reminds us how to reduce stress in short form.
Dr Ed has sooo many reminders about our health and how to contribute to our well being. His recent blog entry focuses on attitude and it's connection to well being. I don't think I can say it better so I hope you'll
see what he has to say --- it'll only take 1 minute out of your "stressful" day!
There is no time like the present to do something positive and take responsibility for how the day is unfolding...... sometimes, I know, it's easier said than done. So what am I doing today to alleviate stress and keeping a positive attitude? I'm cleaning my house, doing laundry, talking to my mom and exercising for a brief 30 minutes. I'm not sure what I'll do tomorrow but focusing on doing one thing today, right now, is all I have control over. Take three deep breaths and remain focused on today.
Stay well,
